My experience is that you have to change the chain more often on Bromptons than on other bikes. My guess is that it’s because the chain is closer to the ground thus collects more dust.
If you have crossed the whole of France, you did probably some 1000 km, right? If yes, I’d not be surprised if you have to change the chain plus ev. the cogs (mainly rear ones).
