Exploring the GM Ringway, a 186-mile orbital trail around the outskirts of Greater Manchester.
Stage twelve provides a microcosm of the whole Ringway, combining rolling hills and moors, tranquil hidden valleys, and the ubiquitous reservoirs and golf courses. Starting in Norden and visiting Greenbooth, Naden and Ashworth Moor reservoirs, crossing Knowl Hill and entering Bury via the beautiful Cheesden Valley and Deeply Vale, finishing with a stroll along the River Irwell through Burrs Country Park.
