Das Vieburger Gehölz ist einer der größten und wichtigsten Grünräume Kiels, der sich über 200 Hektar erstreckt. Dieser historische Wald im Süden Kiels vereint Natur, Erholung und Geschichte. Seine mittelalterlichen Wurzeln liegen in der Nutzung für Holzproduktion und Jagd. Der Name leitet sich von der mittelalterlichen Siedlung Vieburg ab, die einen Teil der frühen Kieler Geschichte widerspiegelt.
Der Wald beherbergt eine vielfältige Flora und Fauna, darunter alte Eichen und Buchen, saisonale Blumen und Tiere wie Füchse und Vögel.
