I really enjoyed exploring the city of Dundee. It’s a city that’s often over looked, but has a massive potential and it’s one of my favorite places to visit in Scotland.

  1. You asked where the murders. You didn’t know that the Law Hill was the site of one of the most notorious murders in Scotland
Only yards away from where you were admiring the view, a body was found dissected and put in several bins as far as I remember the head was never found

  2. Stumbled across ur channel and wow such a good watch, a gentleman and full of knowledge about Dundee i did'nt even know about, i had to subcribe. Look forward to seeing where u go next.

  3. Good to promote Dundee but that headline is shyte ..the most dangerous things you will encounter is if you accidentally end up in the malmaison and have to pay the drink bill or be attacked by a flock of seagulls as you leave Gregg’s with a sausage roll.or the biggest crime to your ears if you encounter Dundees own William Mcgonagall of the moothy fast Eddie playing a country classic ..you can walk around Dundee and anywhere else in Scotland and not encounter any problems …

  4. We underestimate this wee city of ours but when a visitor describes what we have to offer it puts it into perspective and it shouldn't be that way we should already know ps ftd83

  5. Cheers Eddy, awesome wee tour of Dundee, that's some hill walk all the way up there! Well done. Not been in dudhope park for years, whats the show tree all about?

  6. Thanks for this eddy absolutely loved it lived in dundee all my life 48 years and haven't been on the discovery love your videos the waterfront is my favourite place to walk along riverside from the V&A to the airport great walk

  7. Eddie also is part of remnants of old Tay Bridge in which collaped , and many deaths at the time , this when a train was crossing the bridge at the time . Also man who was engineer main architect of Tay Bridge just before this accident happened on Tay brisge he was given job of building a railway bridge for the river Forth but when the T Bridge collapsed he was then told he was not getting the job which was given to some other guys and Tay bridge and Firth railway bridge you view today are what you see today ..If old Tay bridge did not collapse would have been a totally different structure across both River Tay and River Forth you view today ..A bit of history about bridges ..Have to say though Forth railway bridge is iconic and was used in part of old film-movie the 39 Steps when seen train crossing over at time of filming .

  8. Eddie you should have went in to a bakers shop😂and asked for a Mince Peh a Bean Peh and an Ingiin ane an ah 🤣💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✌️GTC

  9. Let's start at the beginning, 'most dangerous place in Scotland', hmm not sure at all where they get that stat from, it may be that they work it out based on population, Dundee being much smaller per head than say Glasgow or Edinburgh may have stats appear higher than what they are, not going to harp on about this myth but i can assure you Dundee is a safe place with all incidents normally drug related somewhere, they can't give that information to the Police though that X happened due to someone ripped some guy off.
In saying this though maybe i just missed where Kids are stabbing Kids or Automatic Weapons being fired at a Funeral etc etc etc but hey Dundee is Europe's most Dangerous place, would love to get those saying this into a room and ask how they come to that conclusion.
To give an idea of just how safe Dundee is, at time of typing this it is 00:11 and i know for a fact i can grab my Cameras and go for a wander in any direction, stay out until may get daylight and nothing at all will happen to me.

Moving on, the walk up to the Law had me curious, was that satnav guided with your phone as the route was pretty spot on and shortest route from the town and one i would have taken. The Trainers in the tree at Dudhope, [said dud up btw] this now anyone in Dundee that uses the Skatepark can correct me if wrong i am sure goes back to some time ago now it all started by someone ripping the sole off of thier trainers so chucked them in to the tree, from then many have did the same thing with trainers f00ked while Skating, making it now a Trainers last resting place.

The Discovery may appear a bit expensive at £17.00 but it includes Free Entry for the next 12 months, sure when i last had a Membership though it was only about £12.00, based on you can go in every day for a year it is worthwhile. What you should have did though was bought the more expensive ticket at twenty pounds odd as that also gets you in to the Verdant Works [btw Mate i cannot believe you missed that as virtually walked right past it on way to the Law] which for me is the 2nd best Museum in Dundee…. Rank for me is McManus at number 1, Verdant Works at number 2, Discovery number 3, Unicorn number 4 and Broughty Ferry Castle number 5, the V&A i doesn't even rank, the outside is cool yes, seen much better though and maybe it has a lot to do with knowing what it replaced.
The only Museum i cannot comment on is the Medical one that is in Ninewells Hospital as i have never been in it, the place kind of scares me as i have saw images of Medical Instruments once used and to be quite honest scare the shit out of me…. everything looks like something you may see in a Saw Movie.

Really enjoyed your video and never heard Beautiful used so many times within an hour, so glad you loved Dundee feel free to return anytime you like and enjoy it more.

To anyone thinking of coming to Dundee and put off by what they may read, during a visit to Dundee you have more chance of falling asleep out of boredom than being attacked.

  10. When you went through the alley opposite the court ,all of the buildings were jute mills which closed in the eighties ,there were lots of jute mills .the building under that chimney is now a brewery. And you walked right passed dudhope castle .

  11. The world needs more people like Eddy! Love your videos. You’re such a happy, positive person. It’s lovely to always see you have a smile on your face.
Being from Dundee, I probably don’t appreciate it myself – I don’t rate it at all, but equally I will defend it when someone else tries to slate it 🙈
I think we can now start to call you Adopted Dundonian/Scottish Eddy 🫶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
