  1. Nice video and spot on. I've been living in NL since 2008 and everything you said is 100% correct. I laughed at the "paracetamol' part as I got prescribed paracetamol when i dropped 250kg of motorbike on myself and got pinched between the motorbike and the curb.. not joking. I had really to make a drama to get some scans to see I had nothing broken. But the rest of treatment I had to pay it myself. Housing is wild here. In Haarlem you need to think about 2500€ /month for a 100sqm apartment (just the rent, then you have to add Gas, Water, Electricity, Internet, City taxes, water taxes, rubbish taxes and all other amenities). A room is around 1500€/month. If you happen to find it. Not sure about the pricing in your area but I guess are a little bit cheaper but not too much.
Fun stuff for me is splitting the bill at the restaurant/café: Dutch people will pay exactly the items eaten. Not a cent extra. Menu and calculator at hand. I had a steak 27,50 and a cola 2,50 and a coffee 2,50: 32.50€. You had a burger 18.50, a cola 2.50, a coffee 2.50: 23.50€ with a grand total of 56€
In my country (Italy) we either split in equal parts (28€/each… let's do 30€ each and leave a little tip to the waiter/waitress) or I pay the full bill this time and next time I get the meal paid by the other person.
