In Poland we have this Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy (WOŚP), or the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Its largest non-governmental charity organization in Poland, founded in 1993 by Jerzy Owsiak. Its primary mission is to improve healthcare in Poland by purchasing medical equipment for hospitals and clinics, particularly focusing on pediatric and elderly care. Each year they organize auctions that feature a wide range of unique and collectible items, often donated by celebrities, artists, and public figures.
This year one of the most interesting item is a hand-painted Canyon Grail SLX bike.
The bike was painted by hand, using the traditional stamping method, almost identical to the one used in the production of ceramics for which Boleslawiec is famous. The design, based on traditional elements and the distinctive cobalt color, was prepared especially for this project.
It is currently priced at 55 000 PLN (~13 500 USD)
