  1. Tonnes more winter here! Indoor training. Sadly, in North America a lot of revenue, employment and votes from the oil industry so you can guess how popular electric cars are here. 🙁

  2. Hahahaha. I'm not that far from Punxsatawney, Pa. Damn right Mike, you are The King Of The Road! What a nice winter wonderland bike ride. Hey did you ever consider riding a fatbike on snowy roads instead? Chooo chooo, be careful my friend. Thanks again for sharing.

  3. Are there many electric bikes being used in your area? I have one that I can pedal up the steep road to my house. So far, the longest ride on it was 30 miles last fall. I had lots of battery power left. We need power outlets in the forests so I can go touring on it.:)

We had nice 50 degree days until now. It snowed just enough to turn the ground white, the temperature dropped and we are having day two of nasty wind with 30 mph gusts. I have not gone bike riding today! The E bike would even be hard to pedal in this wind. Best of luck to you and your family!

  4. A really nice ride, I remember the kicksleds from Vilhelmina, I think they look like so much fun, they seem to be just for old people though. I also love a 90's Volvo, it's my dream car, not pimped though, just stardard. I know what you mean about the temperature difference going to and from work, it's a pain with the extra clothes, I cycled home after a late shift at -2 last week in shorts because I forgot my tights, it's was about 10 degrees and sunny when I cycled in.
I bet people are talking about something other than Northvolt at the minute, but if you wanted to visit Lofoten it might be quieter this year. It's a shame about the sports though, Freddie had qualified for our Olympic trials, but I think they're off now.
Keep up the videos, we'll need the entertainment when we're in lock down. It'll give Malin plenty of time for her studies and practicing the accordion, Ed

  5. Nice one Mike.
No snow this Winter, here in the south of England. High of 13C yesterday and the same again tomorrow.
Commuting is a thing of the past for me since I retired but I go for regular rides in Windsor Great Park.

  6. Nice one, Mikael, enjoyed the narration too. I've had enough of our wet and windy gloomy winter, I'm more than ready for some spring sunshine! You have a good one too!

  7. Excellent video. I'm also a winter commuter. The coldest I've ridden has been 8 deg F. I think I could totally embrace the cold weather of Sweden.
I'm surprised there were not more pedestrians / bikers like I assume you would see in the Netherlands.

In a previous video you showed a lot of caribou – are they a staple? Can you order caribou
    in a restaurant?

I hope to visit Sweden when I retire.

  8. Thanks for the ride Mikael. …only remember riding in that much snow from my army days when I was stationed in Germany. My recollection though was more slush than well packed snow. Great that the path is maintained so well, keeps things a bit more safe….thanks for the video Mikael!

  9. Are you worried of the ecological impact the factory they are building will have on your area? Looks like they want to use the natural resources in that area to build the batteries at a lower cost.

  10. Great video Mikael! Thanks for bringing me along. I wish I would have been cycling beside you on this one. Just as beautiful as last years commute. Sweden and Iceland are tops on my list for bike touring. Keep up the good work and I always look forward to your videos. Stay safe my friend, Ken.
