The 2025 Bike Creche cycle jumble hosted over 100 stalls of vintage bicycles and related parts for the first time since 2020, and in today’s video I will give you a quick walkaround of the bicycle and parts jumble set inside the National Cycling Centre which houses the Manchester Velodrome.
After helping to organise a stall I was helping out with which offered 3 vintage bikes, I started off my walkaround with a look at a stunning 1890 Star bicycle, which sold quite quickly at I think £1500!
There was a vintage bicycle for everyone at this year’s Bike Creche jumble sale, including one which I bought that will be revealed in this video…
All in all the 2025 Bike Creche Cycle Jumble was a fantastic event as it came out of post-covid hibernation, with a great selection of vintage bicycles both on and inside the Manchester Velodrome!
If you enjoyed this quick video then make sure to comment, and while you’re at it let me know your thoughts on my vintage bike – and also whether you know what it is!
It would also be appreciated if you could like this video, and susbcribe for future and past vintage cycle related videos.
Thanks for watching!

  1. Hi Harley, I know absolutely nothing about bikes, indeed there are those that would suggest I know nothing about anything. But it's nice to think that even if you don't know the history of your new bike, that financially it's a good investment because the parts would be worth much more. That aside, you have a new bike that you can use and as we know, a classic vehicle is better if useful and used. Well done.

  2. Good video I had a puch free spirit I think silver and blue also a red mki chopper back in the day I used to take them into my bedroom to strip and clean them I used to get a good hiding as my parents weren't sympathetic to my cause lol 😊

  3. Well Harley, that was different ! You're going to need another shed to house all your bicycles ! Those old saddles are certainly more comfortable that racing saddles. My first bicycle was a 2 tone blue Elswick Hopper. I bought it second hand in 1966 and rode it everywhere. It had 24" wheels as I was only 11 years old. It was a single speed, but a friend gave me a 3 speed Sturmey archer wheel for it, so that made life easier. Thanks for this video – different but very interesting. Take care 🙂

  4. I need to see the green bike more closely. The lugs in full, the dropouts and the seat clamp area close up. The saddle is worth what you paid if you sell it in London!

  5. Hi Harley. I just read some comments from others , and that person mentioning about you being rude towards a man at the cycle show. I believe you didn't mean anything unkind. I'm in old age now and I've opened my mouth and said things I've regretted. Ask anyone and they will say they have too. You are a good young man Harley.

  6. Not quite sure how I missed this event but probably for the best that I did since I have no space for any more!

Nice to see someone at the start of the their vintage cycle journey – just be careful, it can get very addictive 😁👍

  7. 70£???? Very very reasonable price in this condition. Saddle is worth 50£.
Pitty they repainted the frame, i always like the original
But for sure, it should fit in my full shed😂

  8. The one you bought looks like late 40s, into the 50s. Similar to the one's my dad raced on & I later had as my first "propper" bike. Unfortunately dad gave the 2 frames we still had, to the local scrap man about 15 yrs ago. My son now has the bars, crankset, pedals etc. on the wall of his bike cave.
