I was there that day the bushwackers won't have started then it was a like a war zone THEY got batted
I went to Ninian Park that season (Brighton) around Easter lost 1-3
I think we lost at the old Den a few days later that ruined our promotion chances.
Walking back to the car at Cardiff was very dodgy, overhearing the Welsh lads all looking out for anyone English
As for Millwall,I didn't even go to the Den,they had already caused mayhem down at our place earlier on in the season
😅
Went there 76/77/78 much the same only 77 was a lot rougher if I remember we give them a good hiding earlier on in the season down in Cardiff and yes they were game as feck ,been to millwall nearly every time we have played them bar 2 or 3 times I'm nearly 66 now and I will be there for the night game in January, in the seventies and eighties I likened going to millwall like a roller coaster ride ,couldn't wait to go ,when you were there you wish you hadn't bothered, and when it was over couldn't wait to do it again ,nothing but respect for them top firm got to be said …..
1974 yeah wasn't that the season after 11 Millwall got ribboned in the Gwladys Street end at Everton, they weren't so tough that game, they describe it as their darkest day ever, what were they thinking going into the street end? you can still hear thair screams echoing around Goodison to this day,Millwall have always been a 2nd rate team with a 2nd rate firm, not even a match for the 100 or so scouse school boys who took over their part of London a few seasons back Millwall are nothing, idiots who ripped up a few seats at luton, wow ! ,i went to a leeds game with a couple of lads from there,Millwall brought about 400,they wouldn't get off the buses outside the ground, they even kicked the windows through so that they could have the bizzies around to save them, cowards one and all, they sing " no one likes us" thats not the case, their just irrelevant
Man U never showed at Sunderland or Newcastle
Very few United fans turned up from Manchester in '74 was because the 'Special' was wrecked even before it got to Crewe. In the game vs Millwall at OT just about 2 or 3 weeks earlier, there were just a couple of dozen Millwall fans penned into a corner by the Development Association by the Police for their own protection.
