There’s a bicycle track going from the town of Zrenjanin in Serbia to Timisoara, located in Romania. Officially opened in 2022, this 72 km long track follows the scenic river Begej, flowing from Romania into Serbia, and offers picturesque landscapes along the way.
I planned this trip with my good friend Marko a few months ago, but only now we got the chance to make it. With Timisoara being 93 km from our starting point, we planned to spend the night there and return home the following day. The border crossing on this path is opened twice a month during the spring and summer periods, attracting many enthusiasts traveling from one country to another.
