Around a decade ago a documentary crew visited the Easton area of Bristol and dubbed Stapleton Road The Most Dangerous Street in Britain. According to UK Crime statistics only 3% of streets in the UK are more dangerous. In this UK Crime Documentary I investigate whether this really is one of the Worst places in the UK and if it truly deserves it’s title of “The UK’s Most Dangerous Street”. The Easton area of Bristol has one of the highest crime rates in the UK, with a massive number of these crimes being committed in and around Stapleton Road. Unfortunately many of these crimes are very serious and has resulted in a wave of negative media attention, whilst filming on Stapleton Road – “The UK’s Most Dangerous Street” I was myself threatened with violence and the theft of my camera equipment. A quick google search on Stapleton Road in Bristol will reveal a number of shocking headlines and statistics such as:

‘UK’s roughest street’ where pimps wait and ‘you don’t go out after dark’:

  1. As fellow bristol eon live near front line it's shamefull but highlights the complete lack of responsibility of police and concial homeless has deliberately been created by those in charge 😢

  2. Wow, what a dump, I live in Essex which is ok at the mo. Wonder how long till this happens to it tho… there many doctors and lawyers there or what?

  3. If the UK is doing so bad, how do people in the UK afford new cars? New cars over here are damn expensive. They don't sell cars like Dacias over here. If they did, they would probably sell well.

When I was in the UK I didn't see that many bangers as we have in the United States. Most Americans have at least one 25 to 30 year old piece of shit they drive. I live in the southern US where we don' get allot of snow so maybe the climate isn't as bad on them where I live. Ironically Bristol Tennessee get's twice the rainfall as Bristol England but has half as many rainy days. BTW, I live near Bristol Tennessee!

I got 40 year old cargo van I haul rubbish to the dump and whatever else that won't fit in a car.

Granted most states in the US do not have an MOT so perhaps that's how we can get around it and registration and insurance is probably cheaper. I've removed the emission controls on most of my old cars as allot of people do. But I do maintain them to make sure they are safe to drive on the road.

The newest car I own is a 2015 Nissan rogue.

  4. You been up north? Bristol's a kids party compared to Middlesbrough and the west end of Newcastle 😂 it was obviously bin day there. Some of the best shops are in Easton and I've always found everyone there very friendly.

  5. It reminds me of Hackney in London.
Just a matter of time before there is so much vermin and disease then the council might do something.

  6. I used to travel all around easton stapleton road, looking at the graffiti and never had any trouble with any folk.
Even with living in fishponds, it was trouble free

  7. Its all the migrants! Its how they live in the 3rd world we are allowing it to take over this country. And we are a tiny country it wont take 10 /20 years and we are all f**ked

  8. Walking down this road the other night i felt like i was being watched lucky enough i was only pestered by the crack heads wanting change but i could feel people watching me out there windows i didn't see anyone but i could feel it

  9. I go down Stapleton Road, in fact I once lived there, and I feel so dirty even though I'm on a 48 bus. Oh my days what a ***thole ghetto it has become. The authorities are not concerned. They would rather turn money by catching smokers by the fountains. It's dreadful. Im seriously considering moving out from Bristol to Somerset. Good video thanks Joe.

  10. Still bad but was worse 20 plus years a go gun crime was mad but now a days mainly knife crime is mad stapleton road a known drug dealing spot competition for dealers that's why so much violence on this road its a strip

  11. Good exposure of the all the rubbish which is making alot of the cities in the uk become landfill, thanks Joe. We all must try and reduce our waste around the world by using less plastic and packaging. Instead eat fresher food without so much wrappers. Also we should lean towards a more biodegradable use of wrapping when we need like cardboard…

  12. I always thought that Bristol was a cultural city, and not a dump like you've shown. Surely the rest of the city can't be bad like this? Anyhow, Joe, you've risked life and limb going through the area. Thanks for the showing, but keep safe, whatever you do!

  13. Sad to see somewhere with so much rubbish dumped. Same to hear of rubbish at the back of restaurants. It really does put you off when they don't respect the area.
