  2. This video seems a little biased on your part , for example how do you call that 42:01 flush with “ victory” when they had to flee back after taking so many loses and defeated ?

  3. As always am happy to see another video of epic history. Last stand so epic for the Roman soldiers. From the 300 Sparta to Julius Ceaser epic survival when he was fighting Gallic wars and now this…🎉

  4. Caecina is a badass the fact that he turned a possible defeat to victroy and didn't let his men lose themselves and kept it together as well as be decisive when it was need is just incredible. Thank you so much for introducing me to him. I feel like there is alot of roman generals who are super great but don't always get recognition for it.

  5. When an Eagle falls, the German boars and wolves stomp and chant. When the Eagle falls an entire Flock will pursue them no matter how far they ran. Trees and Swamps shield Germanic Tribal Fauna, except from gazing eyes of Roman Aquila. Perched atop branches and lofty skies, The Roman Eagles fly high, they come to Strike.

  6. Good video, but you forgot to mention that Germanicus fleet was largely destroyed in a storm during their retreat from Germania, making it a rather hollow victory for Rome in the end.

  7. I always feel a sense of dread when we start talking about the legions that fought the Germanic tribes in those treacherous swamps, I can't imagine the fear and intensity and exhaustion.

  8. Please mind : Germanic tribes were the ancestors of the Germans, but Germans in in a more precise sense developped 800 years later after the split up of the Franc`s empire.

  9. Historymarche I can't wait in the next video that there are some unfinished episodes such as:

    Rise of Caesar Augustus #6

    Prince Eugene of Savoy #5

    Hannibal #20

    The Anarchy #4

    The Lost Eagles Part 3

  10. The Difference between Warriors and Soldiers.

Warriors are fighting for Glory – for their reputations – for loot.

Soldiers fight – because it is their job – and they are very, very, very good at it.
