  1. Isn't the Captain Cook birthplace museum at Preston Park? or was that the museum that was shut – which would have been a shame as it was very good when we visited few years back

  2. A great video and a place I would never think to visit but might do now. We camp all year round and tend to do club sites with electric in the winter and non EHU in the summer. Take care Gill

  3. Hello. David Rachel and Roxy. Hope you are well. I really enjoyed the video today, very interesting area , nice site too. We just took our Sainsbury van to the garden centre yesterday to give it a run. Awful weather so cold, 1c. Stayed in today. We read that rats this year are chewing car electrics and radiator hoses so I was recommended to spray engine with rodent spray. Smells of pineapple and mice don't like it. A lady with a VW had a huge bill for repair work. Although we are in a village there are fields around. Recommend you check this out. Rodent spray. Have a good week. Looking forward to seeing your next video. Nice you use it all year. We're off to Kessingland site Suffolk in March. Best wishes to you both. David and Beverley Norfolk

  4. Although its a lovely site and only about 3 miles away from we live, we have been to it, its just to close, great for Denz and Teesside park though 🙂 Been over the transporter bridge many times as kid on way to Seaton Crewe, an amazing feat of engineering, as is the barrage. Like Rachel i did the the Rat Race as well, the 3 years it was on , great fun and climbed over Newport bridge one year on it 🙂 Good to see The Talpore is now dog friendly, only been there in the summer and sat outside with Tyler, nice to know she is allowed in now. Shame Presron Park was closed, would of been nice to see what its like now, have mot been in there for decades, did all the graphics for them when o worked at the council many many years ago ! Great blog as ever, take care and all the best Trev Debz and Tyler

  5. Looks a great site and one that has been on our list for a while – we will get there as the site looks great and plenty to do. Handy with the dog friendly pub just across the way. All the best

  6. There is another transporter bridge in Bilbao Spain. Years ago, Terry Scott ( Terry and June fame and carry on ) drove over the edge of our transporter bridge, with no gondalier there into the catch net ( June 1974 ). He and his Jag had to be rescued lol.

  7. Not visited White Water Park yet, but often looking for year round sites to break up the winter months. Although we've been greedy this January just returning from Abbey Wood (London) and planning to go to York Rowntreee next week. Thanks for the videos.

  8. Barrage looks interesting, I love watching the barges coming through the locks in to the dock area at Liverpool. Never been on the transported bridge, I now regret avoiding it when I worked up there in the late 80's early 90's. Made me laugh that at the end of the final episode of this series of Auf Wiedersehen Pet they had to put a disclaimer on to say the bridge was still there. Cheers K.
