Your Spot on Giorgio 👏 all our money we pay to BC what a waste ,,this is grass roots racing to be encouraged,, most normal people have never heard of cyclocross BC should be promoting it 😢
How can BC attract sponsorship from mega corporations and not budget for live streams of National Champs? How can we be in a situation where we have international class athletes – and our National champ not being sent to worlds. Cyclo Cross is hugely popular- particularly with kids and girls – a real gateway into cycling because it’s fun, it’s social and no one gets run over. I get the feeling that BC are focused solely on the elite road and track programmes and see everyone else as unimportant. I haven’t renewed my membership this year but I still received a new gold license..I’ll be posting it back. They also advertise a discount on GCN so you can watch the World Tour!! Thank God for Georgie and @CyclingAccodingtoKirstie !
I agree with giorgio. I saw kirsties video, couldn't believe how young she is I desperately wanted to see all the cyclocross races. Shame there wasn't tv coverage. To me, there should be more cyclocross venues for everyone to use especially for the kids. The roads are too dangerous. Iv nearly been knocked off my bike several times.

I watched the Nationals last year live on YouTube and at times there was only a 100 viewers online. Worth it? Which other Nation streamed there championships

I agree with your comments on the CX national championships and the lack of a livestream and also with your comments on the brilliance of Kirkie's video and her very knowledgeable commentary. Out of interest, the coverage across europe was also terrible with Discovery Plus showing not one national championship from any country.. Its like people dont want CX to be a success.
Yep bc r crap, invest in the media to showcase the big races and make it more accessible 4 everyone to enjoy and follow!

Well said, BC are only interested in the glamorous side. Cyclocross seems not to be of the same flavour.

A few P45s are needed at the top, and don't bother replacing them. These are the same dicks who couldn't be arsed to send a team to the European Championships. British Cycling is returning to the times when they buggered up Nicole Cooke's career.
British cycling is administrating the managed decline of cycling in the UK, we deserve better.

Personally feel that BC is a total let down, they take a large fee for a license and don’t seem to give much back,just another service that only goes one way, shame.
British Cycling have always hated off road cycling … Take our subs and channel it in to road
The Spanish national championships were shown on the national tv sports channel (Teledeporte).
Really poor that the British champs weren't even available on a Youtube channel.
I’m a big Cam Mason fan from the USA and just a big cross fan in general. I was really interested in the your national champs. I stumbled on Kirstie’s live stream and I was so grateful. She did a great job! I mean even little ole USA (cyclocross Not-capital of the world) did livestreams our national champs last few years. Granted the coverage and number of cameras on the course was humble but still got real time footage and race reporting.
Agree with everything you're saying; British Cycling is a shambles and crappy sixty second video is crappy. BC needs to stop hiding in that velodrome and get back to supporting grass-roots (pun intended in regard to CX) riders.
Couldn’t agree more, it should be really easy to set up a few static cameras for a CX race and swap between them and get some commentary.
BC have really let us CX fans down and we won’t even go into their latest mess of not sending riders in all categories to the world. We should absolutely have representation across the board, even if the chance of a podium is minimal in those categories.

Well done British Cycling (not). Maybe it's up to us to do the coverage, imagine 20 or 30 people contributing footage, even capturing Anna Key's mechanical, other crashes, pit action & overtakes.
Absolutely on the money, disgraceful not just from British Cycling but also BBC. Let’s face it despite Cat winning multiple world champs she didn’t even get a mention on the SPOTY show.
Totally agree George, I was looking all over YouTube for a livestream, and there was nothing on the British Cycling channel, not a bloody thing!!! Shame on British Cycling. They are the PITS. If cyclocross is the grass roots then surly it’s the best way to find the next pidcock, mason , froome and so on. Totally agree with everything u say . My first season of cx this year at the age of 46 and it’s the best thing I have ever done. Learnt from watching your video and others plus the pro races.

My son and me were marshalling on the Saturday and had a good chat with Xan who was checking out the course. I'm ashamed to say I didn't know who she was, but she was great to talk to. We spent ages discussing the ice off-camber at the top of the steps. I slowly began to realise that she was more than just 'another' rider – like me 🙂 and when we got back home checked up on her! BC need to up their game, maybe you YouTubers should take over their coverage?
