Keith Thompson, an independent journalist, is author of Angels and Aliens. His newest book is The UFO Paradox: The Celestial and Symbolic World of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena. He has been investigating UFO related phenomena for many decades, having introduced the Harvard psychiatrist, John Mack, to the phenomena of abductions.

i felt like an explorer when i found the original NTAllowed interview with Keith a couple years back. then i saw last week he was making the rounds. I searched New Thinking Allowed Keith Thompson in youtube and google and it was difficult to locate it again!! Luckily i had it in a folder.

Fascinating. More, please. Like at 22:00, I had a minor experience of "The Zone" like pro athletes do. I was drumming in a highly technical band. On stage you can't hear the speakers out in front of you. Only the audience hears them. Special speakers are set up, monitors, that allow the musicians to hear what's going on. The monitor faces you. My monitor went out for most of an intense show. Our backstage crew was occupied, so no one was around for me to call over for assistance. I had to visually keep track of what each musician was doing, watching their fingers, the singer's lips, and everyone's body movements. They faced away from me and toward the crowd, so I had very little information to go on. I looked for cues in the crowd, too. I had to track each and every band member while playing my own instrument, setting the pace for it all and anticipating the next change and the next. At one point, time slowed. I could somehow "hear" everyone. I didn't have to think of what I was doing. It was all automatic. I had a wide perspective like sitting in the rafters. It all just flowed. That was an incredibly interesting experience. Only once did that kind of flow happen. People in the audience said it was one of the best performances they ever heard, so tight and precise. I don't know how we did it.

Unfortunately Kieth you never reach any conclusion or theory to present. May I suggest you elaborate hypotheses regarding other dimensional entities and how they intersect with nuts and bolts recovered craft. This is what we need to understand in detail.

Hello. I was convinced that they were benign; about ten years ago in Canada one ship flew above my head and whizzed off into the sky hyperspace-style (like something out of a Star Wars movie). Unfortunately, I think that the 'right wing, fundamentalist Christians' are onto something as I discovered when working with a shaman in Peru. From my experience, these 'greys' or whatever they are have the ability to shapeshift and for lack of a better word, are demonic, as I was thoroughly shown in one powerful vision during my time in the jungle. I think this is the main problem with trying to conceptualise evil. No, it's not just an archetype, it's just a fact that some beings bent on evil and malice exist.

Regarding the 6m mark, I tend to share Jeffrey's viewpoint that until we accept that there exists paranormal phenomena, we can't begin to make headway into the consciousness mystery. Interestingly, I think it's becoming more mainstream to believe that UFO and PSY phenomena are not separate, but rather inextricably linked!
