Climate change is here, impacting our ability to be active, with 3 in 5 people in England saying severe weather is already negatively affecting their sport and physical activity levels.
Starting in Manchester, Sport England Chair Chris Boardman was joined by a host of cycling guests during his journey, including fellow Olympic gold medallist Dame Katherine Grainger, multiple Paralympic gold medallist Dame Sarah Storey, and rugby union icons Mike Tindall and James Haskell.
The aim of the ride was to urge greater action to limit global warming to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels, and encourage the sports sector to accelerate action in pursuit of this goal.
