Were you surprised by the selection of riders for Visma-Lease a Bike? 🚲 How do you think they will do against Tadej Pogačar? 🏁Let us know!
I'm all for the ban of TT bikes for juniors. I have a 15 year old son who want to start racing on the road. Getting him a decent second hand road bike was expensive enough, also finding a TT bike would be really hard on a budget. (He also rides MTB 💸)
Also, since I'm the whole family's bike care and repair guy I could do without another bike.😅
"Sidelined"? Is that a euphemism for "banned"?
This Jumbo Lease A Bike team for the tour de france is solid and will be a big threat to UAE team.
Look at the $$$ spend on the bike of the UK road bike TT champion, drop bars are not going to stop someone from buying speed.
The Visma team is High Karate
Lets be honest here, so far Pogacr has the best dope, maybe Visma can get it together we will see how the lab work plays out. Anyway may the best dope win.
Really looking forward to this year’s tdf hoping for a big battle. I am a big fan of GCN and especially the racing news show.
Rewatching the Giro 2024 while Zwifting. Is Lloyd going to be a broadcaster again this May?
Ban TT bikes in all fields throughout the UCI
I’m in favor of Canadian Juniors not using TT bikes. Your reasoning is spot-on. USA next maybe?
Having Sepp back will help the team in the mountains.
Van Barle used to be great but disappeared last year.
‘Loo’tennant? Are you American now?
WHAT? Vinegar only racing a handful of races in a season. These blokes are bloody girls! I bet he sits down to pee! You blokes want to compare these wooses to Merckx, Coppi, Hinault, Binda, Anquetil etc? That's bloody laughable!
This is the team who will fight for 2nd place in the Tour
Strong team for second place
Brilliant decision by canadians! TT bike ban for juniors should be widespread to foster real talent. It would then be easier for federations to provide good enough equipment for the top performers to train and compete at the Worlds, and sufficient time between nationals and worlds as well as bike dimensions rules could be provided for adaptation and a certain degree of fairness. 2 years should be enough to deploy a plan with a few emails and online meetings, wouldn't it?!
Get rid of TT bikes! One less thing to have to think about…result!
Why don’t riders like Pogacar do the Giro, Le Tour and La Vuelta in the same year. Why do they only do two of the big three races?
As an Aussie cycling fan I’m super excited for the tour down under. It would be even greater if we could get more of the big teams taking it seriously. Who wouldn’t want Pogacar, Pidcock, MVDP, Van Aert, Vingegaard etc in person in our race.
Question is, what would it take for that to happen?
i hope wout goes for green again
I think is too early to confirm Visma will have that squad in the Tour of France. With the experience of last year falls and injuries, I could predict than more than one of those riders will not be able to ride that grand Tour.
I would like to say that Daniel Lloyd, you are my favorite, most articulate announcer that I can think of in current bicycle racing.
Just sayin;)
I love TT bikes but also love a level playing field.
TT bikes for TT specific races, but road bikes for stg races.
I just feel that with the increasing cost of everything, it would be more of a level playing field.
More about the riders, less about fat pockets.
If only we could do that for politics;)
Keep it fun folks!
Joans should have taken the Giro and clash on the Tour with Pogi. Why clashing both grand tours? Last year Pogi showed he is on another level even for Vingegaard. 1 Pogi 2 Vingegaard 3 Evapoel 4 The rest of the Bunch
Vingegaard was not close last year. Not at all.
I think TT bikes should be universally banned. They're an extra expense that doesn't serve any purpose, except going slightly faster. Competition between similarly equipped riders (i.e., on a level playing field) is athlete vs athlete, the whole point of the event.
Personally i would ban TT bike altogether for road racing events. I think a whole tour / stage races should be rode on the same bike.
It would also benefit amateur rider, smaller teams & juniors with the affordability / budget issues.
Not sure I care for the leaving off of van Barile
It’s just incredible how Dan keeps improving all the time as a show host, even many years in.
UAE will smoke the bees.
"Lootenant" – strewth!
It will be the same treatment for Visma and jonas “vinegar stroke”as last year don’t worry his wife can be there for him to cry to.
Visma… what an amazing team if all stay out of trouble this season. C'mon JONAS 🇩🇰
Very good pronunciation of Maasmechelen!
So, basically what you're saying is Jonas has to structure his entire calendar around trying to win the TDF whereas Pog will show up having probably shredded everyone throughout the classics for fun…
