I have an old carbon mountain bike that doesn’t have eyelets for accepting traditional rack mounts. I really liked the Tailfin system, but it’s just so expensive. So, I set out to figure out a way to get a cheaper rack (in this case the Orltlieb Quick Rack) onto my 2007 Ibis Mojo.

What’s great is that Tailfin has axles for many different axle options, including a Quick Release axle, which is what is on my older bike!

My solution required creating a custom 3d printed adapter between the Tailfin axle and the Quick Rack, which you can get the file for printing on my [Gumroad account](https://thezuzaxdesigns.gumroad.com/l/toaihj) if you want.

Hope this helps someone who is in a similar boat!
