Picked up this Kona Rove yesterday on a pretty ridiculous closeout sale that was a 3 hour drive away and immediately took it for a rip on the D&L trail, then again this morning in Brooklyn.
I could not be happier with it! I’m coming off a pretty aggressive road bike and was tired of the neck/arm pains, as well as having a few close calls almost getting launched out of the saddle going over potholes/tree roots. This bike is definitely not as fast but the comfort and confidence is worth so much to me.
Already planning a tire/maybe a wheel upgrade; considering switching to 700c but my standover is already cutting it pretty close. Would love some recos for someone who’s doing 80/20 road/off-road… as well as inspo for a bikepacking/touring setup.
This is my first gravel bike and I’m pretty over the moon about it!
