What are the 10 prettiest towns in the county of Suffolk? To determine this, I visited them all. Here’s what I found out.
As a disclaimer, this list is neither a social commentary, nor a guide on which are the nicest towns to live, but purely a judgement on the aesthetics of each respective town centre.

Ok
Yes some good choices. I regularly take family and friends to Southwold, Aldeburgh & Framlingham as somewhere really nice to look round………and where do I live? Eye! Maybe I should pay more attention to my home town. I've never thought to take them on a visit around Eye! 🤔 😅😊
Nice presentation Alex I’ll give you 9/10,
The missing 10 is for not mentioning the most cleverest and funniest tv series in recent times ‘The Detectorists’ which was filmed
In and around Framlingham ! But I still subbed you. 😂
What? Haverhill didn't make the list? I was born in the town and went to Sudbury Grammar School on the bus every day passing through Clare.
What a strange list. Have lived in Suffolk for nearly 50 years. Never been tempted to visit Eye. Wouldn't call Clare a town. Lavenham more of one! Bungay??? Even autocorrect came up with Hungary instead. Sorry … this does not seem researched.
Love the videos. When are you going to come up North? 😉
The worst place in Suffolk is it’s county town 😢
In a list of top ten towns in suffolk, you know it's not going to mention Ipswich or Sudbury ?
King Edmund was supposedly captured whilst hiding under a bridge in the very pretty village of Hoxne (pronounced Hox'n).
Interesting video, Aldeburgh is a particular favourite and the next coastal settlement of Thorpeness is always worth a visit!
No Newmarket? Didnt look at the developments going on at Lowestoft/Oulton Broad?
Then you have the villages and hamlets, all contributing to Suffolk having a top county for architecture listing.
Woodbridge certainly is more worthy than ten
Good video and very well made. My partner lives in Sudbury and I live in Colchester. Show me what town hasn’t got its good bits and bad. Sudbury is a nice little town and as I spend most of my weekends at my partners we go to most of those towns that you showed and all have there good bits
Don't worry, Suffolk is full of refugees from London and Essex now. All you hear is London accents.
Great vid as usual Alex
I used to live in Woodbridge a beautiful quiet place but oh so perfect..
Love bury st Edmunds, went to 2 different schools there in the 70s and Would quite happily live there
Good vid. I live between Eye and Fram and you didn't mention the great kebab shops in both towns!😂 Beautiful place to live Suffolk.
I personally would put Felixstowe top of the list.
List is the wrong way around. Bury st edmunds should be close to the top and Sudbury close to the bottom.
Fantastic video!
How is Sudbury in front of places like Bury St Edmund’s and Woodbridge?
You missed Felixstowe.
Got to agree with my fellow Suffolk folk that Sudbury was an absolute shocker to see as number 1. I actually said ‘Bloody Sudbury!’ Out loud, when you listed it as number one. As others have said, It has to be Woodbridge. Nice video anyway – really enjoyed it. 🙂
That made Bungay look lovely…… but afraid not it was lovely from the 70s to the 90s not now. It’s been spoilt by over crowding, no room for parking, no open banks. It became full of charity shops and hairdressers. Looks picturesque maybe pleasant to visit but not to live lol
