This is the Mohawk community of Akwesasne. Akwesasne has one of the most interesting histories and geographies in North America, with its territory straddling both the USA and Canada, while also having 3 different political jurisdisctions in the Provinces of Quebec and Ontario, and the state of New York.
If you’d like more info about Akwesasne, and overall history behind the 7 nations and the Haudenosaunee, look up Darren Bonaparte. Alot of the information from this video came from him. His work is amazing and you will learn something new for sure.

Nice video! I think I've heard of this one before, keep up the good work bossman!
Great video 🙂 New subscriber from Saskatchewan
Ty.. Great Vid.
Thanks for bringing this topic to light. There are many such communities that got cut in half by the arbitrary line in the sand that the colonial occupiers drew up all around the world. The least we could do is admit that it was wrong.
Well done. I lived in massena,NY for 30+ years. Akwasane was a big part of my teen and young adult years. The Mohawk people were treated poorly by both American and Canadian authorities. But they are a strong and proud. And will never give up.
The Tuscarora were adopted Iroquois and other native nations that were displaced after the trail of tears. Fun history fact.
What a fantastic video
Canada and the U.S
A are a free an sovereign people to this day.
Before you put out the wrong information you should talk to some of our elder's. #Tekarontake-Paul Delorande & #Kanasaraken-Loran Thompson are some people you should speak to before putting out misinformation. I don't mean to say 6his out of disrespect, i say this because theirs a lot of false information because everyone doesn't talk about our history from our view point
They NEVER gave us anything, we gave Settler's the permission to live etc here without selling our Land's. Land's we're NEVER sold by us.
Fascinating and so very true ❤
Love your videos bro have you been to the Saint Anisette Mohawk museum.I have pictures of this museum if you want to use them.
