Both bikes are within my budget but the 1st one may not be available due to city. I have to ask. It’s also maybe a bit too much, but it looks new, barely any scratches. I like the first bike more, but it’s 2×9 Sora vs 3×8 Claris. (2nd one had a lot of replacements. Maybe got into a crash?) Neither would make me happy but at this budget this is what I get. This would be my first road bike. Ideally I want 1×12 10-52 or so at around 8KG max but this is entry level aluminum frame obviously and nowhere near that.
I know it’s usually better to get a new bike for something better but which of these would be a better material for some upgrade? Can any of these take 10 or 11 speed 1x? I really hate front derailleurs.
Since my frame size is 60 it’s really hard to find bikes new or used. And my budget allows mostly used. These are some of the few options.
