Thinking about traveling to the French Riviera? Why not experience winter in Nice, France? Believe it or not, that’s how the city became a tourist hotspot over 200 years ago!
Back then, wealthy northern Europeans—especially British aristocrats—escaped their cold, damp winters by heading south. Nice’s history as a winter resort even earned it a spot on the UNESCO World Heritage List a few years ago.
So, Anja & Aila decided to spend a day retracing the steps of those first vacationers. Join them as they soak up the charm that still makes Nice one of the coolest places to hibernate! ❄️☀️

Have you been to the French Riviera in the winter? Did you enjoy it – or did you miss the summer vibes?
Nice portrait! It makes me wanting to go there one day, rathr than toronto 2 times last year!
Ladies, thank you for this video. I visited Nice for the first time in my 20-s and fell in love with this city. I try to come back every summer. I am 32 now and I already think of my retirement in this amazing city. Nice is really the most beautiful city in the world. And you are the best French Riviera guide.
Fell in love with Nice after working in very urban Paris. The vibe is so friendly, open hearted Mediterranean, but the culture suprised. Stunning Chagall and Matisse collections. And the Med is its own work of art. Nice is that perfect blend of urbanity, culture, food to die for. Thank you A&A at RiveraGo for being my guide. Brava, Brava.
You are guys fantastic ❤
Très belle vidéo 😍😍😍😍
Great video! I am visiting Nice in March—so excited to visit during the low season 😁
I have a question, my wife and me want to stay in Nice or surrounding area off season for a month or in a future up to 6 months. What is the most economical way to stay in a good area ? Short term rental? and do you have info on best platform to find that and what neighborhoods you recommend that you live like a local? Merci !
I would like to visit Nice in the spring around March/April/May. Are the prices still a bit lower then? I assume the prices are highest in the summer July-August months. Also, when do the beach cafes re-open?
I am currently spending a month in Nice for the winter; 2nd year in a row I’ve done that, and like your video states, it’s wonderful. Weather is great, no crowds and easy access to everything. I saw the Matisse museum last year and walked around the Hotel Regina. Definitely worth the trip! I keep hoping to see you filming a video. I promise I will say hello if I do. 😎
I'm so glad , I can see yours video, love you ladies, with love from New Jersey, USA.
la ville de mes vacances lorsque j'étais enfant .Toute la journée a la plage juste devant l'hôtel Negresco.

My favourite channel on YouTube …the best !!!!🎉🎉🎉
You guys's videos are always THE BEST. Very original and full of history culture good places to eat…Wow, I love it .THANK YOU SO MUCH Merci Beaucoup 💝💝💝
Thank you guys ❤
Thanks very much, you ladies are the most informative channel I found about French Riviera and I'm heading there in a week's time.
I visited Nice for Christmas, had a great time. I wasn't there for long, only 4 nights but I also managed to visit Villefranche-sur-Mer and Antibes, both beautiful.
The only thing I found a bit annoying was on my first day in Nice, when I walked to the Colline du Château and saw the viewpoint, there were quite a few aeroplanes flying over it… I think that ruined the vibe a bit. Is that a regular thing?
Love your channel !! I'm planing early retirement in Europe so I can be close to places like this. Your videos only convince me more ! Thank you 🧡
Thanks for the video ❤
I was in Nice in July and it was really hot and crowded so I am planning to come back in the winter season or late fall. I’m kinda looking forward to it. Thank you for the video.❤
Really nice video, well made & informative with great cinematic shots. Excited to check out Nice for the first time, hopefully soon! 🙂
Great vidéo, thank you girls 😊
Amazing beauty! Nice…😍😍😍
Love your videos and you all convinced my wife and I go to go the South of France this past July! We loved Nice!! Please make a video about things to do in the Nice for kids!
Wonderful wonderful wonderful happy new year 🥳 ❤🎉
Was in Nice in June would love to go back in Winter it looks lovely 😍 definitely would like to visit the Mattise museum too xxx
Thanks to you, I had a great trip~ Great guide
Very informative video, beautifully filmed ☀️🤗 I would love to visit Nice/Côte d'Azur one day and your videos will definitely be my guide :)🩷
Really enjoyed this episode since I just returned from Nice (9 – 19 Dec) on a scouting trip. I agree that it was a great time to visit for many of the same reasons you suggested.
After watching many of your videos, it appears that you don’t live in the city of Nice. For example, In one you were by a pool in the countryside. Since I am very interested in moving to the Cote d’ Azur and not living in the city of Nice, would you mind sharing the area / town you live in and whether you rent or own. Merci Tim
Lovely!! Thank you so much. I'll be there in February (with my VLS-TS I'm thrilled!) Hope to run into you two one day. 🙂
'NICE' (Bella Nizza!) , MONACO, MONTE CARLO and CORSICA should have remained with Italy… They will always retain their original ITALIAN ambience…most all the names of cities and towns in Corsica are still in Italian. Doesn't matter if they are in France. Napoleon , Garibaldi, the Grimaldi's, The Medici family of Florence (birthplace of the Renaissance) were Italian. They are cousins no matter what…just the language is different…the French language rose from the ashes of the Roman empire. JOHN CABOT another Italian explorer (real name: JOHN CABOTO) secured much of what is now Eastern Canada for the British. FRANCE has always benefited from having countries like Italy, Spain, Germany as neighbors.
