My son knocked my bike over (2015 Merida Scultura 4000).
I noticed later that where the top cap hex is usually located was now broken/gone. I thought no worries I will take this one out with a pair of pliers and buy a new one.
I wasn't expecting this whole compression plug arrangement, I've only ever had bikes with a separate top cap.
What is this part actually called? Can I just buy a new one? Are they generic sizes etc…
All my searches are leading me around the answer but not to it.
