This is part three of my journey from Sweden back to England. This film covers my bikepacking adventures cycling & camping through southern Denmark, which was the last leg of the ride from my husband’s cottage. I also cover my train journey back to England. The trains worked out really well – so brilliant with a Brompton, that you can hop on board without hassle or extra cost. I took German trains from Flensburg via Hamburg and Köln to Brussels, and then Eurostar from Brussels to London. Hope you enjoy the film!
About the old Danish poem I chose to include, I didn’t like the English translations that I found online, so I translated it myself, kind of as I felt like I wanted it to be…! Bear in mind that I don’t know Danish! I mainly guessed based on Swedish, which I do know, and looked words up. So yeh, it is kind of loosely done… It was very kind of the owner of the Rectory at Over Randlev to invite me in, and talk with me about her house and its past. What a nice person. I was surprised to find later that very few of Steen Steensen Blicher’s poems seem to have been translated into English (or Swedish) at all. I hope someone brilliant will get onto it. ‘Bird of Passage’ looks like a lovely set of poems and this one just fitted my mood.
Thank you for watching! Hoping 2025 brings you lots of good moments, big and small!

Happy New Year.
Just looked it up, there are 9 bakeries in Horsens. 🙂 You should have asked someone. Maybe us Danes are weird, but we will always help. We are taught that from childhood. We must help each other, nobody can do everything.
I am glad you took the eastern route down through Jylland. The western one is rougher and way more windy, a completely different landscape, like being in another country.
Nice to see you had a good trip. I have a feeling you like biking in DK.
Remember, if it is a state forest, you don't have to camp a the shelters, you can wild camp like in Sweden. But only State forests.
Hope you will visit again, I like to see you cycling in my country.
Nice to hear from you again! I wish you a really good year 2025🚴🌞
So glad to see this final part of the home from Sweden trilogy. Thank you for all the effort you put in to include us in your adventures. You always inspire me to be braver (although I think I would have moved the tent away from those cows ).
👌👌🌹🌹❤❤🌷🌷👍👍😊😊
That was a fantastic adventure Susanna. Thank you so much for sharing it with us 😊

Dear Susanna! I too travelled from Germany through Hamburg and Flensburg to Denmark and your video just brings back such fond memories. Love your attitude. Love your channel!

Hi Susanna, great to see you back in the saddle, will be watching your video later. All the best for 2025. P&D new forest x
Thank you for taking us along again Susanna, I feel like I’ve cycled the route too!
Wishing you a very happy, healthy 2025, bless you 🤗
fantastic adventure, so brave
HI Susanna: What a lovely ride through southern Denmark! I think that was an electric wire to prevent the cows from wandering into your last campsite? Steen Steensen Blicher's "Birds of Passage" is a beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing another wonderful Brompton cycling adventure. Happy New Year 🚴🌍☮2025
Hi Susanna! After binge watching your videos (I'm halfway through!) I've noticed that you're using a different Brompton. What's the model of this orange unit and how many gears does it have? Do you still have the same bike kit? Have you had any punctures while using the Marathon Plus tyres?
Also, at 14:55 that duck in the foreground was quite interested in you and your things. 😁
Thanks Susanna for another great video. I must admit you did get me worried about those Cows but it all went ok. Hopefully for now you are tucked up safe indoors given the cold weather we have but Spring will soon be here and we can live rather than survive again. Best wishes to you and your husband for 2025.
Wow what a great journey! How nice and what a lovely weather! Great camp spots as well 🎉🎉💪🏻👍🏻
Denmark here – love when you show the parts of Denmark turists dont go to
A lovely experience. Thank you for sharing this with us.
❤
Thanks for sharing your journeys, I love watching them.
What a treat to feel like I’m travelling along with you in Dk. I just wish I could “plug” into your skill set & wisdom ..add a pinch of courage…the same way you charge your devices..ha ha. The photography and music was just lovely and your joy at enjoying your adventure was inspiring.
What a lovely NYears gift to give us!
The overhead fan is on, the kookaburras are heralding in the day, it’s summer & 20c here in Oz. Tourist time, we are over run!
Stay well dear Susannah. … here is 🥂🥂 to a wonderful 2025 filled with more adventures, good health, and selfishly more videos.
Wishing you all the best for the new year…

Great video, as always! Enjoyed your trip! 🙂
Many thanks ,happy new year ,2025 🍀🍀
cannot express how much i love watching your journeys. Everything the cycling, setting up camp, the food you cook and the appreciation of the areas you pass through, the buildings you explore. Thankyou so much.
Very entertaining Susanna! I loved following the last leg of your journey from my cosy sofa. There should be an app for nice bakeries – I’m always searching for them too! I can’t fault you on the bottomless biscuits, and thank goodness you survived the night without being licked by cows 😂😂😂. Looking forward to your next adventure, and Happy New Year!
At your last camp you were very near that electric fence wire! Brave woman.
brilliant content! Thank you for the journey.
Another lovely trip. Thanks for sharing and have a good new year. I look forward to your 2025 adventures.
