What is your list of triathlons or competitions for this year? 🪣✅
first Ironman event Bolton 70.3
Doing Challenge Roth in 2025 😅 Swimming in Hudson river is a shit show.. literally…
Don't forget that Mt Washington has the worst weather on earth so that's also something fun to contend with on the sea to summit tri.
10 is maybe a bit much. I will start this year with my first. this has to be enough XD
Starting the year with IronMan 70.3 Pucón in the south of Chile
You missed PatagonMan a 140.6 miles race in beautiful Patagonia Chile
There’s Barrelman Niagara – a 70.3 distance point-to-point race in southern Ontario in September, and there’s the Toronto Triathlon Festival in July with a swim in Lake Ontario and bike/run along some of the city’s highways.
WC IM 70.3 in Marbella👌🏽
Working my way up to the big events. Kansas City Tri and Omaha (Nebraska) Tri as well as some half marathons local to me are already on the schedule for me in '25. Maybe in 2026 or 2027 will be my transition to the big races. We all gotta start somewhere.
Didn’t James win Alpe d’Huez? Legend.
Algorithm!
NORSEMAN!!! 2.August
Doing my first 70.3 with IM Musselman
I've got to give a shout out to Nottingham Outlaw. It's Ironman organisation without the price tag.
My first ever triathlon overall was Ironman Austria and I chose it because of its beauty. Flew all the way from Los Angeles and instead of picking one in the US I decided to fly across the ocean. It was worth it. Such a beautiful course. I liked that the bike was just one lap. But Mark, I have to say, that was not a rolling course. It was hilly AF. People were getting off their bikes and walking up. How hilly it was caught me by surprise and by the time the marathon started I had no legs left from those hills. Still super worth it.
I will do T100 in London 🙂. Even Mark think is a boring course.
IM Kalmar is the best Ironman competition in the world.
Kona is also fantastic.
Marie-Louise 🇸🇪
Which one are you going to get Si Richardson to do? 😂
Roth was amazing! Hope to do it again when I turn 50! Hoping to do some aqua bikes to get back to fitness post surgeries in 2025.
Was there ever an accedent with sharke? I always think about that because there are some much "remote" destinations like australia, south afrika, Hawaii, where sharks are quite normal to see
Special note about Wildflower is that they have many race options in addition to the long course option. I’ve done the Olympic distance several times as a college student (they have a dedicated start for college teams, which is really cool) and can say it provides the same challenge and beauty as the long course event in a smaller package. This is great for people who are not quite confident in the 70.3 distance but still want the Wildflower experience. It was one of my favorite races and I have many fond memories closing out the college season with my teammates there.
Roc Scotland
After doing my first ever triathlon (70.3)last year close to home I will do the same this year as well as a half distance in an former (now flooded) surface mining pit and on top was able to get an entry to the Berlin Marathon. So training is already on the way!
1066 middle distance triathlon down on the south coast of England in Bexhill is a brilliant triathlon. 70.3 for £80 now that is a bargain. Also Castle to Coast by Fullsteam Events is a brilliant and a very hard triathlon as it takes on the Surrey hills and part of the South Downs.
Not a triathlon, The RUT 50K. First ever 50K.
I've done a series of Ironman events…and it's a good experience, but the entry prices are nuts.. nevertheless the vibe that I felt is that they look at you like a pile of money, they don't really care or even fake it. if I do any more Ironman event I will be very surgical in the event I will select
Roth x100
My triathlon goal for 2025 is an XTERRA Race in Rocky Gap, PA
Ironman Copenhagen is the best ever!
None in Asia. I feel sad. Don't leave us out.
Can’t forget Escape from Alcatraz!
I signed up for IM70.3 Kraichgau and Zurich City Triathlon
Challenge Roth!
Signed up for 70.3 Rapperswil. Probably also one of the most beautiful triathlons. Might do Thun in 26 as my first full distance
Would love to see more gravel triathlons. I do an artisanal one here in Munich every year. With friends and family.
Interesting list. After 38 seasons, Embrun is the only race on my bucket list. Of course. Number one on all triathletes bucket lists shoulde be – support my local events.
I was pencilling in T100 London but had to ditch it when they moved the date in recent comms. 😢
Huskisson Triathlon Festival in Oz is celebrating their 20th anniversary in Feb 2025. There are multiple events from yoga, swims, runs, short/long/ultra triathlons and Aquabike. A fantastic weekend of fun for thousands of athletes.
Otillo Casco Bay!
Already done my first tri for the year, the bug is truly kicking in now
Sea to Summit is world class. What a race. Did it 10+ years ago and still remember every moment.
I'd include challeneg wanaka. Possible one of the most picturesque races in the world. Although I prefered the old course (Swim in lake wanaka, ride out to glendu then turn around head back through town, up to hawea and over the red bridge. Then the run course is the outlet track and gunn rd). Its still a true bucket list race.
I live down the road from Noosa. I decided not to enter this year.
