A decently long lane in Hertfordshire at just over a mile in length, with generally a good surface, with only the occasional muddy patch. it descends to a low point where it can be particularily muddy but only for a short stretch. It then climbs back again, both slopes have slight water run-off damage but nothing that can’t be avoided.

Situated just to the north of Markyate and south of Luton, close to the M1 (Junction 10). Only just in Hertfordshire as you cross the border out of Luton Borough as you transistion from tarmac to dirt at the northern end in the small village of Pepperstock. NB: The Unclassified Road at the northern end (in Luton Borough) is all tarmac.

If meeting horses coming towards you, please pull over and cut your engine until they are past. If you catch up with horses, stop and take a break, giving them time to clear the road.
