A Polish-French couple cycling through 10 countries was robbed in Sindh’s Thatta district, Pakistan, near the Sajawal bypass or possibly at the Makli graveyard, according to conflicting reports. They were deprived of their mobile phones while visiting historical sites as guests of the Sindh archaeology department. Police lodged an FIR, initiated an investigation, and registered a case against three suspects. Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar directed police to use modern techniques for a swift resolution.

In a related incident in October, robbers in police uniforms looted $1,080 from four foreign tourists in Karachi’s DHA. Disheartened by the security situation, the tourists left Pakistan the next day without filing a complaint.
