Flight start from the modern bicycle shed with charging points, and shows the parking of this shopping center. In Sint-Niklaas, you can charge your bike for free which is fantastic for cyclists like me who travel from the Netherlands or the region of Antwerp, Ghent! šŸ˜‰ With lockers that have codes and camera surveillance, you can visit the shopping center without any worries. There are also electric shared bikes and e-scooters available, and 10 buses per hour make getting around a breeze. I love seeing such progress, and it’s impressive to see everything that’s offered here.

Unfortunately, in my region of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen in the Netherlands, innovation isn’t keeping pace; it’s lagging behind by about 10 years. This means no shared bikes, no e-scooters, and a general lack of flexibility in mobility. The provincial management is outdated and not in tune with current advancements. Thankfully, we do have cycle highways (border) like the F411 that connects to Sint-Niklaas, making it easier to experience modern amenities. Terrible because in other neighbouring countries I also experience positive public transport and shared transport.
