Walking through Sheffield city centre noting the change in British society recently. We visit the Christmas markets of Sheffield. There no longer seems to be a feeling of community or even safety in UK city centres anymore. How does Sheffield compare to other UK city centres. Why do Uk city centres feel so unsafe now a days? What has changed over the last 5 years in the UK , it feels a very different place to when i was last here. Sheffield is my hometown, i moved away and became an expat. Returning to Sheffield 5 years later feels very different to how it used to. UK society and culture seems to be collapsing. City centres in England. Deprivation, cost of living, cultural enrichment, immigration, demographic change in UK.

Sheffield was built on industry, and has witnessed the effects of the decline of industry for decades in the UK.

What a sad decline the city of my birth has or is going through, I was born in Jessops Hosp't back in the 50s, it is now 100% different to when I was growing up in Sheffield, all the industry has disappeared, when I was at school they (the teachers) would take us around all the steelworks to look if we wanted to work for them, it was in them or down the pit, sadly 3 weeks before I left school my parents moved us to Creswell Nr Worksop, I lost all my mates, I was so annoyed I went and joined the army. I'm sad to watch the state of some of those areas you've shown us, they used to be vibrant communities where you would know everyone who lived around you, I lived in Hillsborough for a time in a large block of flats Nr the speedway track, we then moved to Tinsley, any chance you can do a walk around there some time, I know it's changed but how much? thanks if you can. Keep the videos going, well done.
What they are doing in the skies is certainly straight out of the 1984 playbook. We are told not to believe what our eyes can see.
