Sent this to Beau Miles the Australian adventurer. He did not have much fun in his local river. Was covered in blackberries "that's jail!". Took a kayak down the creek/river/main drain to Western Port and then up another creek and dragged it through the streets to his work.

In Australia willows are an invasive weed that they are trying to eradicate from the rivers these days.

Was a local group who had a full raft they took down the Yarra River in Melbourne. Actually they did it twice. The first time they very ill-advisedly took it over Dights Falls. The second time they had shifts of people and were much more organised.
I need an "American Reacts" to this, I can only imagine there reaction to the British hospitality lol
