In the summer of 2017, our family returned to Europe to do another awesome bike tour. We started in Amsterdam and bicycled 800 km in a circle to Brussels and back to Amsterdam. This part of the bike tour takes us from Toronto to Amsterdam. It features unpacking and putting together bikes in the Amsterdam airport, cycling away from Schipol Airport into downtown Amsterdam, awesome cycling infrastructure in Amsterdam and the Hortus Botanical Gardens.

That's an awesome route. Next time try the Eastern part of the country North to South and back. (e.g. Zwolle, Kampen, Arnhem, Roermond, Maastricht, Voerstreek (Belgium) and back.
nice one good luck!
Couldn’t you just rent a tandem bike in the Netherlands?
And you could storage the boxes at the airport?, for the flight back home????,. this “ party“ at the RB an B are crazy Turkish people , and if they have a mariage or the Turkish football team wins they loose their mind and do whatever they want to do,. , driving crazy with cars loud claxon and ignore red lights if they are with more cars,., same with the other muslims from Marocco they have no respect for our country and way of living and think they are in their own country ,. it is worse in the UK< London, there are no go areas for infidels and they have sharia courds , so their own courds in a other country,.., Britain First is the only movement who try to do something about this but……………. it s to late.
So cool. The world needs more families like yours.
What's more, you're wearing a Mastodon t-shirt.
Merhaba
What did you do with the boxes after you arrived at Schiphol?
A tandem bike your size does not look very convenient in inner city Amsterdam but who am I to judge? Be sure to visit Texel next time around.
First lesson: don't wear helmets.
Exactly. You are completely right. Amsterdam is more chaotic because of the tourists not knowing the bike path is a road for bikes…not people. And the Dutch have customs and regulation for bikes….ground markings pointing out who has the right of way…handsignals. The dutch have been doing it since birth. Tourists don't know them and cause dangerous situations. Usually dutch cycling is relaxed save and organised. Oh if you liked the gardens I can recommend the "Orchideenhoeve"…a orchid grower has turned several of his greenhouses into exotic gardens with fish, waterfalls, butterflies, exotic plants…its beautiful.

It is perfect to have a holiday on your tendems with your children! You do not see them very much in The Netherlands, tendems. (2 persons bicycles). This is a great way to travel, I followed all your flogs and loved them! You can not trust the KLM, so f uck them.
We'd finally gotten into tandeming now there's no more looking-back. Our singles are collecting dust. It looks like you rid of the boxes when you arrived in Europe. Question, what do u do with your tandem on your flight back to US/Canada?
What did you do to the box? Did you throw them away?
