Exploring the most beautiful ride through Wales on the scenic A40 road from Brecon to Tenby in South Wales. This motorbike road offers stunning views and a thrilling ride through the Welsh countryside.
This is the route we took –
Ride up the A470 from Cardiff over the Brecon Beacons, past Storey Arms and down the other side, just before ‘Libanus’, turn left onto A4215, signpost to ‘Defynnog’
At the end of the road turn Right. Turn Left and Left again to pass cattle market in ‘Sennybridge’. Left onto A40, heading to ‘Llandovery’.
Go through ‘Llandovery’, over railway crossing, staying on A40 heading for ‘Llandeilo’
Ride through ‘Llandeilo’ towards ‘Carmarthen’, follow signs for ‘St Clears’ and ‘Tenby’ on the A477
Turn off to go on A478 following signs for ‘Tenby’
Find somewhere to park and have a bit to eat in ‘Tenby’ town
Today’s road is about 75miles long and takes around 1hour 45 minutes to ride
