A ride from Staplehurst railway station to Marden village.
Coming from London to Marden by rail the away-from-London platform at Marden is over a footbridge with no lifts. The nearest station with full wheelchair access is Staplehurst 4 minutes further away from London.
Although only a 4 minute train ride back to Marden from Staplehurst there would be a 25 minute wait at Staplehurst until the next train to Marden. Marden is just over 5.5km away through the Kent countryside – I should be able to do that in half and hour and will find keeping moving more enjoyable than sitting at Staplehurst station doing nothing for the next 25 minutes.
