Check out the 28 Years Later trailer for the upcoming horror movie starring Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jack O’Connell, Alfie Williams, and Ralph Fiennes.

28 Years Later is a terrifying new story set in the same world as 28 Days Later. It’s been almost 30 years since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist alongside the infected. One group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single causeway. However, when one of them leaves on a mission, he discovers secrets that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors too.

Directed by Danny Boyle and written by Alex Garland, 28 Years Later debuts in theaters on June 20, 2025. The film’s executive producer is Cillian Murphy. It’s produced by Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice, Bernard Bellew, Danny Boyle, Alex Garland.

  1. My theory on why the infected are so ripped is:

They be sprinting so much that they burn all their fat down to the last percentage and thus becoming absolutely dangerous infected athletes 💀

  2. I have an idea. Originally the sequel to 28 Weeks Later was supposed to be named 28 Months Later but they decided to do a 28 Years Later instead. My idea is for there to be a 28 Months Later story that bridges the time gap between 28 Weeks Later and 28 Years Later. It can be an interquel and prequel.

  3. So I'm confused. The infected die of starvation like any other human after x ammount of time. So is this 28 years of constant infected? Or 28 years later of another outbreak

  4. The best thing about 28 universe was that the actors were relatively unknown.
This ruins the immersion, hes no longer just a nobody. Hes that shitty kraven actor.

  5. Aaron Taylor Johnson was hoping it wasn't him, he's been in too many movies recently which takes away from the film. Should have been a not well known actor or a veteran we haven't seen in a long time

  6. I like gritty stories but also add sense of everyday life into the mix which grants nice immersion… but added good casting, good story telling, believable characters. Walking dead had all of this for a few seasons. I don't think a zombie movie / show will ever capture that so well again. This one seems like an over the top story added cgi thriller and a story that's everywhere. I will wait for the reviews.

  7. I just hope it carries the same tone as 28 weeks. I love both movies, but I've always loved 28 weeks far more. If it can be sewn into the fabric of the first two, I'll purchase physical copies of them all and keep them on a mantel in my house😅
