You left the best for last! Your route took you right past my first house that I bought, in Glencairn. I was in the South African Navy for 12 years mostly in Simonβs Town but a long time ago now. Nice to see that not much seems to have changed except that the penguins have taken over the beach where I used to swim.
Thanks for showing us the beautiful Chapman's Peak. I can never get enough of it, living in Limpopo Provence. But at least we got the Kruger National Park on our doorstep.
Patrick im still hoping you going to announce that you decided to return to Sweden by bike so we can follow your adventures for 8 more months on the way backπ what about west africa?π
Thanks so much for this final episode. Iβve followed all your episodes so itβs seems fitting that you finished where my parents first met each other, Simonstown. My dad was stationed there with the Royal Navy as a radio operator during WW II. They left RSA after the war because of apartheid, but now some of their ashes are on top of Table Mountain. That was a great trip you had. Very inspirational. Going to do some of it myself now that Iβm retired, but not quite so daring. Maybe just around Europe. Take care.
Patrick, please help me understand because my imagination fails to do so. Does the sun move in the vault of the sky in the southern hemisphere in the same way as in the northern hemisphere, i.e. clockwise? π
We use to live in Houtbay. Stunning part of SA. Thanks for sharing! Enjoy you last couple of days in Africa… for now I'm sure. Was good to have met you.
Almost all the way down there π It looks like an amazing journey, I still have to check out most of it, because I missed out on a lot, but it is now a good time to just binge watch the whole route!

Yes, very nice to cycle along the coast. Are you going to the most southern point of Africa, Cape Agulhas about 170 km from Cape Town?

Patrick, Thanks again for a lovely cycling documentary. I have a question: how do you rate your Trek 520 bicycle? Jan
Hi Patrick. I'm wondering if it's okay if I post your youtube channel as a link on my website?
I hope your next trip will be across Asia:)π
