Cursing Záviš till today.
I watch a ton of history videos, but the maps you have shown for 1200s Europe are something I have never seen before. Amazing work.
Awesome!!
8:45 As Czech I appreciate that <3
Margaret Babenberg made it harder for me to eat while seeing that portrayal
Kadan and the Horde military commanders of Batu khan are still looking for king bela 4 between the islands of Illyria, the leader of the kipchaks kotyan was killed by the hungaryan barons after that the kipchaks ravaged the balkans.
Fun Fact 1: Ottokar's son Wenceslaus II. was on the brink of creating an even larger powerhouse by becoming the King of Poland and then acquiring the crown of Hungary for his son. Imagine a union of these three kingdoms… He got a 'little' help by the discovery of silver in Kuttenberg in Central Bohemia which made Bohemia the largest producer of silver in Europe at that time. He unfortunately passed away of tuberculosis only 34 years old…
Fun fact 2: If you are a King of Bohemia and you must go to war, don't do battle on August 26th. Ottokar II. died on that day and exactly 70 years later John the Blind died fighting the English at Crecy.
Bela IV: "Can I have…"
Ottokar II: "Oh hell no you don't!!!"😂😂😂
solide stuffue
If only Czech republic still called Bohemia
Wow, very interesting
Great job!
Here's a sacrifice to the algorithm.
"Jdi do prdele" 😂
Another wonderful episode! 🎉
Lesson learned for letting the jews into your country, Iron King.
If I were Ottokar I would never had let the jews have control of any kind in my Kingdom.
This could become a movie
This Czechs out.
Simple trick he bit into so easily
Nice one, shedding light on lesser known history.
Not only some of the highest quality content on YouTube but also some of the most prolific, this channel uploads so often and without the quality suffering because of it. I enjoy the range of content as well. Lots of different theaters of history on display
You are so good with your words describing a scene and how the men may have felt and thought. Amazing stuff.
Ah yes, the Gold and Iron King. Czechs are eating good today 😄
"I FEEL QUITE HUNGRY!!". a warcry of certain bohemian knight circa 1403.😂😂😂
based on all the deals made and broken in these tales, im amazed anyone person trusted anyone else
Would that Rudolf had fallen and Ottokar's reforms had been pressed on the disgruntled nobles.
What of a more advanced, peaceful and ultimately world war-less Europe would have been?
Ah, what a dream.
How those weasels started their rise to power, just depressing.
It's said that before the Habsburg flanking maneuver, the commander apologized to his knights for what they were about to do, as it was considered highly unchivalrous to perform a hidden flanking attack.
Really informative and very detailed💕💕.
Love tour detailed videos❤❤
THIS is the moment << insert name here >> was waiting for!!
Classic 🙂
6:56 So nothing's changed since then
Amazing video
Historymarche I can't wait in the next video that there are some unfinished episodes such as:
Rise of Caesar Augustus #6
Prince Eugene of Savoy #5
Hannibal #20
The Anarchy #4
The Lost Eagles Part 2
0:37, it's fanny, for Russian subtitle, at this moment wrote: "conflict with a king Beer 4, a long-standing dispute between two men will be resolved" 😂
Damn I was rooting for Ottokar.
Try explaining that to a murican
So Tony stark realizes he is actually related to the starks of Westeros and becomes iron king 😂
I like your way of mapping, but it would be much better if you draw the vassals or tributary states in light colour of their overlords instead of diagonal zigzag lines
If you would’ve said “Styria” is a legit country- I would’ve laughed at you. How have I never heard of this place?
@3:44– wait… ottokar mounted a rebellion when he was 15-16 years old?!? (You said the 48 year old in hungary was 30 years older and this was a few years after the failed rebellion )
Interesting Friedrich II was killed by nameseke Frederick of Veglia, the future Frankopans, a vassal of king Bela IV.
What ever happens to bohemia?
My brother, I hope you put Arabic dubbing on, your videos are really excellent
Is "Czechia " a real word?
