Should be new bike weeks, but I finally took her out for a longer spin.
Ultimate CF SLX Di2, fresh batch from Canyon.

For context, i’m a (barely) average cyclist, coming from an Endurace AL 6 (Alu, 105) from 2014.
The difference is massive, I’m pretty sure it would have just been as incredible with a CF SL but i’m a weight lunatic and wheels are much better on this thing.

Things I love:
– Di2 is incredible, not much to say about that
– Power transfer is immediate
– Comfortable (gotta find the perfect position still)
– Lightweight and aero, perfect combination
– Did I say that Di2 is incredible?
– Disc breaks are excellent and feel super safe
– I am faster (added an example of a segment from today, I didn’t even push too hard)

Mixed feelings:
– CP0018 cockpit: did we really need it? it’s an engineering marvel, but no redundancies and limited configurability. I also have a feeling it’s hard to align with the fork, I thought I sorted it out but seems to be drifting back to a slight angle despite the 12Nm tightening
– a weird, minimal vibration on the drivetrain at high cadences. it’s small but i can notice it and i’m wondering whether it might be due to crank/cassette alignment

Open questions:
– Canyon still needs to fix a small thing on the bike, not gonna spend time on QC/CS as I bitched about it enough on other people’s posts
