Cycling “Le Tour de Bourgogne” in 6 days – Route des Grands Crus + EuroVelo 6
In May 2024 I cycled the “Tour de Bourgogne a Velo” in the Burgundy region of France.
A very pleasant ride and perfect for people who want to avoid the “hassle” of the transportation of bicycle and cyclist back to the starting point of a tour
I stayed in hotels for 2 nights and camped for 3 nights.
Highlights:
* Cycling infrastructure
* Availability of eating / sleeping / shopping options
* Mostly easy cycling, a bit more strenuous in the stretch from Dijon to Paray le Monial
* Beautiful gentle scenery, specially in the wine region after Baune.
This third video of this trip is about the stretch I ride from Dijon to Palinges. In the first part I ride the Route des Grands Crus thru the Burgundy vineyards. The second part of today’s ride coincides with the Eurovelo 6 and is partly along the Canal du Centre.
Weather, planning and energy levels were not that great today, but it all worked out in the end. Enjoy the video!!

Du Pain, du Vin, la France. Lekker hoor. Houdoe.
25 is brutal. Minimum for me is 36 ideally 40.
Climbing when over geared is sooo tiring! I love the old French villages and towns, not to mention those beautiful chateaux. Thank you en houdoe!
Great to see l’ aventure, and what a lovely location. So nice to see the many Chateaux and picturesque villages along the route. Stay safe, Merci and houdoe!
