Our man in France, Tom Last, talks to Team Katusha mechanic Gregor Willwohl on the modifications teams make on time trial bikes. It’s a long day for Gregor and the other mechanics pour over every detail of the bike, taking into account factors such as rider preferences, the parcour and the weather conditions to ensure optimal performance out on the road.
Teams must also adhere to UCI weight and measurement restrictions which needs to be factored in when setting up the bike.

Ugghhhh those Speedmax TT bikes look so cool.
they normally perch on the nose of the saddle as it allows them to get greater power I believe, works for me anyway 😛
I love that Speedmax Evo so much!!! Wish it didn't take so long to recieve one, I've heard 18 months 0_0 (also cheers for doing the Speedmax, I'd asked previously :P)
they sit on the nose of the saddle. It has some advantages, I think.
The saddle still has to have a certain lenght too, I think it's 23cm minimum. A way to avoid that rule is to design the saddle with a cut nose and adding some material behind the normal shape. The ISM Adamo range offers these kind of saddles, which some pro's use regardless of their sponsors.
Liking "the new guy" 🙂
Very interesting, i would like to see if they check their or had their leg angle etc checked with the lazer or do go by feel and comfort? Regardless riding at that speed is incredible conditioning and endurance
Thanks for the coverage on the Katusha TT as requested!
Can you have a feature about how the Sky Team used an Oval Crank? thanks
That canyon is beautiful
Spirt level? I must be the only person to say plum rule lol anyway, great video as usual! 🙂
Plumb line from the Latin plumbum (lead). Plumb lines were originally weighted with lead, and water pipes were also made from it, hence plumber (worker in lead).
That TT bike is insane
GCN ad on a GCN video. I LIKE IT
