  1. Nice Video! Same happened to me in the Vatican last year but you got surprisingly far in. I was stopped way earlier and told I had to walk my bike 😀

  2. Quite possibly your best series of videos so far – allowing us into the 'feel' of the locales is really enjoyable. Your family discussion was perfectly on-point as well – totally agree with it. Any plans for the next tour? Just moments before watching your video I was reading very encouraging preliminary data out of S Africa about Omicron. So, with that info then seeing your video… the combination has me very optimistic that I will be going ahead with the spring tour. By the way, if we happen to cross paths in Portugal if you happen to be there at the same time, I will buy you a 'bucket of wine' to thank you for your video work!

  3. Great video Mike, it brought back happy memories when I visited the Vatican, it is an amazing place. Best wishes to you and your lovely family🙂

  4. Thank you very much , for exceptional narration ( especially since english is not your mother tongue) fantastic videos, and extraordinary editing…. Someday i would like to be as good as you for videos , narration and editing…..looking forward to your next bicycle trip.

  5. Wonderful video Mikael ! We are happy that everything went well and proud to have supported you at the beginning of your journey. We would like to be able to share a trip with you because meeting you has been a pleasure for us. See you soon Giancarlo and Cristina

  6. I don't have good thoughts about my own family; there was a lot of wrong and derogatory comments applied to my presence when I was living with them. I always wanted to be away from my family as much as possible. I had more peace and clarity of what I wanted to do, and I could achieve more away from their presence.

  7. Wow, Mike! Thank you so much!

Would love to see a video of how you pack your bike into that bag at the airport. That would be great for those of us who hope to tackle that move someday.

Thank you, again for bringing the world to the rest of us!

  8. Hey Mike, I also happen to be in Italy right now, Rome specifically. My pannier has been giving me problems. do you know of places or bicycle chain stores in Rome that sells panniers?

  9. Tack Mr. Ambassador. We thoroughly enjoyed these videos. All that sunshine must seem a long time ago now. You’re right about the family, it doesn’t take long before you start missing them. I hope things are good now you’re a marked man with INTERPOL!
    Much Love Ed

  10. Wonderful tour of Rome, brought back memories of when I walked to all those sites with my daughter five years ago. I didn't realize Rome would be so bike accessible. So sweet your appreciation of Malin and the importance of family. Definitely agree. I will go back and watch the other videos of this trip. BTW your choice of music always seems to go so well with the scenes. Thanks!

  11. I can "maybe" see no bicycles in the Plaza in front of the Vatican but no tripod? That seems a bit weird. You were able to see some great sights though, like the colosseum. That must have been a great experience. Like you I'm very thankful to have a wife that understands my need for my little adventures. I never take her for granted. Thanks for sharing your tour with us. It was a great one. ✌

  12. Great recap showing some of the highlights of your Italy tour. I can't agree with you more about the importance of our families. It's a blessing your wife doesn't mind you taking occasional bike trips for some alone and reflective time. You're a blessed man.
