On this fascinating cycle ride through the Buckinghamshire countryside, I went to Padbury, a short distance from the village, to look at the remains of its viaduct. I started at Quainton, where I flew the drone over Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, passed through the Claydons, and crossed the EWR line near Verney Junction. I then arrived at Padbury and flew the drone over the viaduct. The views were amazing.

  1. Nice work man 🎉🎉
I agree that old railway relics are interesting, I can’t help but think about all the effort and skill that went into building them and then 1960’s politics and so much of it was left to rot.
    Sad 😢

  2. What a great episode Karl, for all kinds of reasons. Firstly there was the weird pattern in the field top left, in the drone shots of the railway centre. Also , as you mentioned so many attractive buildings plus the iconic windmill in Quainton. Having such a clear winter sun day really showed up the topography in the drone shots, especially the medieval strip system in the field beyond the viaduct. Thanks again.

  3. Nice video. Not seen the viaduct before. Gone past those bridge abbutments many times on my home delivery rounds, over the years. I think there are more if you turn the other way, left, onto the Lenborough Rd, rather than right to the A413. You really need to go on the Buckingham railway walk. And see some of the remaining structures on the way to Radclive and Fulwell. Sadly, they took out the bridge abbutments at Water Stratford recently.
