What do you think of the new lid? How do you plan to use it? What did you think of the video? So great seeing some of you at the grand opening yesterday.
Looks like bikes are once again relegated to traveling further than cars. Looks like the bike lanes will be shared with university pedestrians who will again like on the burke gillman be angry that bikes go too fast. All around far too much money spent when simply closing car lanes would’ve been much cheaper, safer for everyone and better for the city. And yes, I have biked through that area for 30 years.
Nice collection of Bromptons!
Why is dude wearing three different wireless mics?
I’m 74 and always thought there was someone smarter than me running the country. Now I realize I was wrong.🤦🏼♀️
I wonder how long before one of the fine, upstanding, mostly peaceful junkie shitbags that inhabit every sidewalk of King Co throws a scooter off it at a passing car?
Bets anyone?
Wow… Made the rich peoples houses worth even more! You must be proud!
Look great will have to try it. When is the link lite rail going to be up and running from Bellevue to Seattle?
i used to take this almost every day during 2021-22 to school in west seattle from bellevue cant wait to try it out!
This is the biggest waste of money in the country
Nice. I Feel like it should have been wider, but its better than nothing
How the hell did Seattle build and finish this massive project??? 48 years; and Interstate 5 isn't any wider than it was under President Carter…
Yaaaaayyyyyyy🎉
Waste of tax dollars.
I wonder how long it will take for the homeless to turn it all to shit.
Just the same, it looks nice.
Brilliant! Watching from the Netherlands, I am impressed. I am, however, surprised that there are not separate paths for cyclists and pedestrians.
Waste of money
Thank you so much for this excellent video
I would say I want my tax money back but I don't feel like upsetting the lunatics of puget sound.
Beautiful design. Thanks for the maps and drone shots. The City has taken too long to figure out transportation that doesn't involve cars. I left in 2010 and never regretted it. I hope this new space doesn't get ruined by tent dwellers.
I get there’s more people for the Grand Opening, but move off to the side of the path – biking, driving, hiking, whatever – when you stop!
Hopefully they get rid of bikes on Lk Wa Blvd near Seward Park . Get rid of speed bumps.
I'm confused. Are you able to bike/walk from the Arboretum to Bellevue across 520, or it that still not a thing?
Thank you for taking the time to put this together! Super helpful!
Pedestrian/Bike tunnel, great place for a new Homeless camp.
Great video!
crooks.
Seattle is beautiful and they're improving it all the time, wish I lived there to enjoy it…wait I do live there! 😍
WHY don't the bicyclists ever have to pay for the "MILLIONS" that are spent to "accomodate" THEM !!! They should have to pay for Tabs, just like cars !!!
I forget the exact year, but it was definitely the late '80s very early '90s that Seattle was voted Best Bicycle City in the U.S. by Bicycling magazine, and it was well deserved!
Nice bridge. But should have clear seperate walk and cycle areas. For instance have a pedestrian area say 20 cm higher than the rest of the path. As it is it will create conflict between cyclists and pedestrians.
looks nice
I used to ride through the Arboretum every day from Madison Park to the UW and back. It wasn't easy to figure out where I was from your video.
Wow, this is brilliant and thank you posting all the details, nice going!
Beautiful. Well, at least until the homeless tents take it over…
This is BS. with Homeless and crime problems that need to be fixed; money wasted. More crime, and Seattle wastes money on something that is not at the top of needs. This is why I moved.
drivers must be furious about loosing all that space LOL
Very nice. Great way to get around.
Cool more room for tents.🐿🦝🇺🇲
There is already graffiti on the bridge as seen in this video.
Looks lovely but can we for the love of god get the freaking North south freeway over in Spokane finished. They have been working on this freeway for decades…and still is years off. Send more money over here, would ya?
Nice, looks like a lot of places along the sides for tents, tarps and garbage fires, good 👍 job Seattle. Not a tax dollar wasted on something else less idiotic….
Finally ! People with real vision have done something right for this part of U-Dub and this whole town !
Seattle and Washington State has a lot of things to do and activity. I really appreciate this city much. I'm a lover of trail, hike and camping. I do want to come here soon. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like a new park for the homeless to set up camp.
nice thanks
