Arguably the Queen stage of the GMRW, stage ten takes in a reservoir tour along the Piethorne Valley, before climbing Windy Hill to re-join the Pennine Way for the exhilarating crossing of the famous M62 footbridge and taking in the views from Blackstone Edge. It then follows the “Roman Road” packhorse track down to the beautiful Hollingworth Lake on the way to Littleborough via the Rochdale Canal.
