Howdy all.
I’m attempting to build a budget-ish bike from components scavenged from my 2018 Cannondale Cujo 1. Long story short, I somehow managed to crack the frame between the seatstays and seat tube and since I’m not the origianl owner I can’t just warranty it. So, I found a secondhand frame for a 2018 Trigger 3 and have been trying to move over as many parts as I can. As such, I’ve been trying to find a BB that will fit my current crankset (FSA Comet). The stock BB on my Cujo was a FSA MegaExo with a 73mm shell width, but the new frame has a PF30 BB with an 83mm width.
Okay, now for the questions:
1. Can anyone speak to the compatibility of eThirteen BB’s? I found [this BB that seems like it might work](https://northwestbicycle.com/products/e-thirteen-pf30-threadfit-bottom-bracket-68-73-83mm-for-all-e-thirteen-base-cranks-24mm-spindle-blk-cr5306?variant=40273525604457), but there seems to be some mention of eThirteen BB’s and cranks being incompatible with any other cranks/BB’s—though most of these remarks are from almost a decade ago.
2. Does the Trigger require a PF30A BB or just a PF30? Can I just spoof the offset using crank spacers?
3. Do I need to look for a new spindle/crankset to account for the 10mm of additional BB width?
4. Are there any other screwfit 83mm PF30 BB’s for 24mm Shimano spindles?
Also, I’ve a bonus, semi-unrelated question:
Can anyone confirm the headset that the Trigger uses? The manual I found online just says “SI Integrated” and I’m having a difficult time making sure I’m ordering the right parts. Doubly so since I’m still not 100% sure that the Rockshox Judy I pulled off of my Cujo is the same dimensions as the stock Trigger fork. Seems to fit reasonably well when I mock up the fit using the Cujo’s non-SI bearings though.
