Cycling out of Prague through the quiet (!) city centre and via the bikepath along the Vltava (Moldau) river down to Mělník. Not far from Prague, the bike path highway turns into a muddy MTB single trail. Past Mělník we leave the the Eurovelo 7 and climb back into the hills of the Kokořínsko nature reserve. The bizarre rock sculptures Čertovy hlavy (Devil’s Heads), beautiful sandstone rock formations and the medieval Kokořín castle, cycling route “010” was one of the highlights of our trip.
