Bicycle Touring Spain Day 6 – Costa Brava // The 6th day of the tour around Catalonia turns out to be the best day of the whole tour. I’m blessed with super weather and fantastic scenary. During the first half of the day I had serious problems putting the camera away even for a brief moment. Everything was so stunning. But on the other hand it was also a pretty tough day with two big climbs and a lot of head winds. I finally ended up at a camp site just outside of Barcelona and enjoyed a nice dinner to celebrate that I had almost comleted the loop.

  1. This was by far the best day of the whole trip. I got to see some amzing scenery from the cliffs looking out over the Mediterranean. And it was nice to get some sunshine compared to the rainy start I got at the beginning of the trip. Hope you'll enjoy the video. The final installment in this series will drop next Thursday.

  2. Another great video Mikael. It,s nice to watch your video and for a moment forget the snow and minus 16 degrees celsius we have outside right now. What a lovely place to bicycle touring. Thanks for sharing. Raymond

  3. Hi Mikael, Greetings from Jacksonville, Florida. New subscriber. This video was probably in my recommendations because I follow Bicycle Touring Pro. As a point of interest, my wife and I spent ten days camping on the beach just south of Lloret De Mar, on our honeymoon, 46 years ago this May. It was as beautiful then as now. Great video.

  4. Hi Mikael, i am a recent subscriber, just want to say that your videos are so inspiring and you have a nice relaxing style which is easy to watch and listen too. Great video quality are you still using Sony hdr 200v for this spain trip
Can I also ask….do you ever have problems with mosquitoes especially when camping..I mean how do you protect your self against bites etc do you have a first aid kit
    Many thanks, Tom

  5. Lovely footage Mikael. Greetings from "Down Under" . At 10.00 ; here in NSW the state government followed the example of Queensland state government and also implemented the one metre rule up to 60 kph and 1.5 metre over 60 kph ; the distance that vehicles must leave when overtaking a cyclist. . The governments have had to do this because of the almost non existent bicycle infrastructure . These are the only two states in Oz where this rule applies to motorists, so far. A helmet must be worn Australia wide when riding or face a fine of over $400. I notice you had a different bike from the one you used when touring in Slovakia. All the best.
