How Fast Can I Climb Alpe du Zwift? | Project Sub-40 Begins
Alpe du Zwift, a faithful recreation of Alpe d’Huez, is one of the toughest climbs in virtual cycling, and today I set out to see just how fast I can conquer it! After months of training and a few setbacks, this effort marks the baseline for my ultimate goal: a sub-40-minute climb.
In this video, I break down my attempt into three key sections, share insights into my pacing strategy, and discuss how I’ll improve my 40-minute power over the next 8 weeks. From threshold training to endurance building, the journey to sub-40 starts here.
This isn’t just about Zwift—next summer, I’ll be tackling the real Alpe d’Huez in the French Alps to see how fast I can go!
Let me know in the comments if you think I can do it, and don’t forget to hit subscribe for updates on my training, future challenges, and the ultimate showdown with the Alpe!
