Currently riding a 2017 Diamondback Overdrive Carbon 29 hardtail I got on a deep discount – my first bike to see if I liked it since I'm started biking kinda late. SoCal, mainly Orange County for trail reference . Looking at FS, but not 100% clear on trail vs XC, but, sounds like trail is best for all purpose. I'm leaning towards the Spectral, reading thay it's good for climbing which is important to me.
Ideally spending $3,500, $4-4,500 absolute max. Looking at Spectral, Jeffsy Core 3, Epic Evo, Revel Ranger, Hugene 2 (any others?)
