How crazy might that be, to be living in a city with no metro, and suddenly have an almost complete system literally overnight! Happy for the Riyadh residents
I love public transport
You make my work so worth it
0:39 Each metre of this metro cost 200,000 dollars to build XD
But it looks SOOO cool!
It's crazy that the Saudi Arabian government wouldn't gradually open the metro. Petro-state megalomania I guess.
Suprising that there is no automated metro network than is bigger than this
it means that the grand paris express lines alone (without including line 1,4 and later 13) will also be one the biggest if not the biggest one once completed ; since it will add 200 km of lines
I'm really glad you found a niche that isn't fulfilled by other transport YouTubers. It's very rewarding to follow what's happening in the world of transit.
Perth, Australia just opened a brand new heavy rail line. It should be mentioned in the next vid
Seems like a couple of cities really insist to open their new Metro system in 2024 at the last minute. Riyadh and Thessaloniki are already mentioned here and Ho Chi Minh CIty Metro will open on 22th of December. Bhopal and Indore still say they'll open this year and I couldn't found any recent news (in a language I understand) about the Ahvaz and Qom metro but at least according to Wikipedia they will open in 2024 too. Is that a thing? Networks open in December just to reach their promised target year at the last moment?
Another week HAS passed (present perfect)
Thank you as always ❤
What happened to the chinese trains in London? I am sure chinese manufacturers can deliver high-quality products, given how ubiquitous rail infrastructure is in China.
Yeah, the new City for All weekly news is out!
The Thessaloniki metro is very nice and like a museum visit.
Also for next week's news, Paris RER E Western extension to Nanterre will begin allday operations with continuous trains from the Eastern branches.
Since the opening some months ago, there were only 4 trains per hour each way from 10AM to 4PM running like shuttles between Haussmann Saint-Lazare and Nanterre la Folie to work out all potential issues.
The service still won't be running at its maximum potential yet, mostly due to a lack of new trains, but it will have normal operating hours and more trains.
thank you!
The metro bridge in Porto has begun construction

Thanks for urban tranportation issues!
